Research Journal
The Research Journal serves as a repository for recording the theories, experiments, AI dialogues, and questions that arise during SRI’s implementation processes. It documents not only finalized conclusions but also the reasons why hypotheses changed, counterexamples discovered during verification, and points for future investigation.
Documenting the Process of Thought
Presenting only research results obscures how observations lead to questions, what was discarded, and where decisions shifted. This journal records uncertainties, failures, and unresolved issues as integral parts of the research process.
What We Record
- Research notes on Intentional Physics, Selection Geometry, and Observer Theory
- Evidence derived from academic papers, public data, and technological trends
- Hypotheses and counterarguments generated through discussions with AI agents
- Design decisions, failures, and improvements in prototype systems
- Ethical and institutional challenges between research and societal implementation
- Potential for interdisciplinary connection and the reasons why such connections may not be feasible
AI-Assisted Documentation
AI participates in organizing, comparing, drafting, translating, and searching for counterexamples. In some cases, multiple AI personas may present different perspectives based on their specific roles or expertise. However, AI-generated text is not treated as established fact; upon publication, humans verify the purpose, sources, expression, and safety of the content.
Record Labels
| Observation | Confirmed phenomena, materials, or changes |
|---|---|
| Question | Unanswered questions |
| Hypothesis | Candidate explanations awaiting verification |
| Experiment | Calculations, comparisons, prototyping, and counterexample testing |
| Revision | Reasons for modifying previous ideas |
How to Read
The journal does not consist of peer-reviewed papers. Each entry is an updatable note reflecting the state of research at a specific point in time. Please distinguish between established knowledge, SRI’s unique interpretations, and unverified hypotheses when reading.
